Kota Tangerang - Tangerang is a city located in the province of Banten, Indonesia. Kota Tangerang is located in the west of Jakarta, and surrounded by Kabupaten Tangerang to the south, west, and east. Kota Tangerang is the largest city in the province of Banten and the third-largest urban area in Jabodetabek after Jakarta. The City was established in 1993 and consists of 13 districts, and also 104 villages. Kota Tangerang has a total area of 164.54 km2. As of 2010, has a population of 1,798,601. Kota Tangerang was led by Drs H Wahidin Halim M.Si as mayor.
